Research conducted in recent years has established that cases of students diagnosed with mental health issues are on the rise. In the UK, university counselors have reported increased cases of students dealing with mental-related issues. A survey conducted by NUS in 2014 established that 75% of the students suffered from a mental health issues (Winrow, 2017). There are also increased cases of university students dropping out of school because of being overwhelmed by mental health issues.
